Busara Tours is led by Salma, a woman who works in tourism. Salma was born in Tanzania.
“BUSARA MEANS WISDOM IN KISWAHILI, THE NATIONAL LANGUAGE IN KENYA AND TANZANIA. IT IS A WORD THAT IS OFTEN USED HERE IN EVERYDAY LIFE. WE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE OUR BUSARA, OUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF AFRICA.”
Salma Mgaza (1975) was born on Pemba, a small island belonging to the Zanzibar Archipelago. After studying Tourism she became one of the first female guides of Zanzibar. With her family she lives in Stone Town, the beautiful capital of Zanzibar. She has been working for more than 20 years for a travel agency that compiles and provides travel in East Africa. In addition, Salma does a lot of volunteering for an NGO that supports local communities, the Zanzibar Outreach Program (ZOP).
“I HAVE SO MANY BEAUTIFUL TRAVEL ROUTES THROUGH KENYA, TANZANIA AND ZANZIBAR TO ENJOY WILDLIFE, NATURE, CULTURE AND RELAXATION. WITH BUSARA TOURS I WANT TO OFFER EVERYONE THE BEST TRIPS FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. KARIBU! WELCOME!!”
Busara Tours trains also young local people to become Zanzibar tour guides. It is important for us to work with local people, to support local enterprises, to think sustainable and to save our planet. Our knowledge we like to share with our guests, clients and people we work with. We like to become one of the best tour company of Tanzania.
What OUR CLIENTS SAY
We did the Sunset-Moon rise boat ride in the dhow, with my entire family of almost 20 people and it was the most memorable boat ride ever, more so because,… read more it was really amazingly beautiful to see the sun set in the west and the moon rise from the east, simultaneously. A sight we have never ever seen before. The ambiance in the dhow was also very rustic, but equally peaceful and serene, with the local musicians serenading us. I have been for many boat rides , but really nothing like this. Most of all we thoroughly enjoyed having you also with us.
